Civet is an animal-derived aromatic material that was historically obtained from the perineal glands of the civet, a small mammal native to parts of India, Africa, and the Middle East. It is one of the few animal-based ingredients traditionally used in perfumery.

In its natural form, civet has a powerful, musky, and intensely animalic scent, often compared to musk. Due to ethical concerns, the rarity of the animal, and the high cost of the natural material, modern perfumers now rely almost exclusively on synthetic alternatives that faithfully reproduce its distinctive olfactory profile.

Today, civet accords are primarily used as heart notes in men's fragrances, as well as in certain oriental women's perfumes, where they add depth, sensuality, and exceptional longevity to musky and amber compositions.

The Fragrances are pure, undiluted concentrated oily extracts, without vegetable oil or any added alcohol.

 

ASPECT:fluid, oily.

COLOR: transparent, light brown

 

USE:manufacture of perfume, cosmetics, soaps, incense.

 

DILUTION-CONCENTRATION:soluble in oil, glycerin and alcohol, not soluble in water. All our Fragrances are 100% pure and miscible with each other.

 

COMPOSITION:the chemical composition of the product complies with European regulations.  Contains DPG Di-Propylene Glycol (oxybispropanol-C6H14O3) in its formulation.

 

CAUTION:flammable, irritating to the skin in pure use. May stain fabric, paper, wood.

 

SECURITY:contains no Phthalate (DEHP) - Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) - Benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP) - Diisononyl phthalate (DINP) - Diisidecyl phthalate (DIDP) - Di-n-octyl phthalate (DnOP) .
